In 2001 I begun delivering Actionscript training through a number of London commercial training providers, something that I continue to do to this day.

All Levels

I have experienced all levels of candidates and situations from introduction right through to customised one-on-one training. Below are some companies that I have had the privilege of working with in improving the skills of their Flash developers.

Teaching Code To Graphic Designers

Over the years I have found that the type of candidate I have encountered most often are graphic designers who would like to add some interactivity to their work. This is a situation which Flash naturally promotes and in teaching these types of people I have fine tuned the way in which I deliver technical information. This in turn has helped me in my consultancy work where I often have to discuss technical ideas with non technical people.

Custom & Consultancy

On the other side of the spectrum probably the most enjoyable training situations are those where I have been asked to train designers or developers with a specific project in mind. Not unlike an incubator service where part of a training budget is used to kick start a production cycle which require staff acquire specialised skills to complete it.

In the last few years I have worked with two UK universities in helping them set the Actionscript elements of their mulit-media courses. University of Kent has asked me to participate on their Industrial Panel which meet once a year and ensures that the subjects taught are going to be relevant to the job market candidates will enter on completion of their degree.
